Kay - Anacortes Update 10/28/08

Hi everybody! Only time for a quick update at this point in time, I will send more details in another note and whenever anything changes within the day to day. The most significant change of late is that we had a two and a half hour meeting last Thursday with a nurse from Skagit Hospice Foundation and we were approved to be in the program. If you want general information check out www.skagithospicefoundation.com, as far as specifics about our decision, Sarah and I have agreed to proceed this way with the continuing intention to keep Kay in our home until the end of her days. This program gives us many more resources of assistance to continue in this endeavor. Our mindset is one day at a time and we will try not to force ourselves to continue if we feel we are not up to it. There is still much we can do to take better care of ourselves physically and mentally, that is as important at this point in time as taking care of Kay. We are working on it.

It is difficult for us, there is no question about that, but we want to try and go a little further with God’s help…time will tell. A social worker with the program is coming in for a visit and a Q & A session with us today.

If you all have any questions for us feel free to send them our way and we will try and answer them from the heart. To be continued…

Love,

Tim, Sarah, and Mama Kay
