Kay - Update

Good morning and good afternoon! It really is.

First of all, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I went to the hospital this morning not knowing what to expect. Part of me thought that Kay would still be hot and groggy. Part of me expected to find her rearranging the bandaid drawer or folding bed sheets. I was pleased to find her sitting up in bed eating french toast and scrambled eggs, albeit with her fingers, but bright eyed and eating! PTL!!! Lack of fluids are still a concern.

She wants to go home. You all know how strong/stubborn she is so the nurses have their work cut out for them. I did not get a chance to speak with the doctor, however, I did get the impression that she would remain in the hospital. I'll be going back later this afternoon and hopefully get more info. The good news is that she is awake and the redness and swelling has decreased.

We will continue updates on our blogsite as often as we can. If she comes home tomorrow or Saturday, I can't promise a minute to minute commentary! Check it out at your leisure, we'll write at ours! www.anacortesnics.blogspot.com

Love,
Sarah
