A loving note to let you know that your dear friend,
Rev. E Katharyn Nicodemus,
went to the loving arms of Jesus,
in her sleep on December 30, 2008.

Good morning all,

I am back at work today, sorry I will miss your visit Vern, Sarah and Mom will enjoy your company!

Mom bounced back in the evening and she was able to eat something and drink some fluids.

This has happened a few times where it seems that she is shutting down for good and then she bounces back. It is not easy to get accustomed to, but this may be a pattern for a while, so when I send the updates it may seem that the end is nigh, but we just don't know.

It is a unique situation, unlike someone who has a specific prognosis of a short time to live. We'll try to keep everyone posted when changes occur.

Visitors are always welcome, just give us a call. It's impossible to say if there is any urgency if you want to see Kay again? Just come if you want to, not because you think we are requesting it. We are ok, just do what you need to do. To be continued....

Much love to all!

Tim, Sarah and Mama Kay

Greetings,

It is hard to describe the scenario up here, so pardon the lack of frequent updates. Last night we thought Mom's time had come, she was in a coma like state from 4pm on and for the first time we had to lift her into the wheel chair and lift her into bed. Usually she comes around a little bit when we change her or move her, not this time. We just pray for her peace and wait to see if she is still breathing the next time we check on her. She is still with us this morning and she accepted the morning apple sauce laced with her meds, only a couple sips of juice though. She went right back to sleep. It looks like today will be a stay in bed day for Mom. She is very weak and very skinny and most of her attempts to speak are just mumbles. It is difficult watching her deteriorate. It seems that this has really accelerated lately. We pray for a swift and peaceful passing! She is ready, but who knows how long her body will hold on? We'll try to communicate more often as we are able.

Thanks for your prayers, Tim
