11-19-08 Up-date
I saw Laura at the YMCA this morning; the doctor has said her leg is better.

Laura had a blood clot in her leg and it was dissolving but she sent this today:
I have developed another problem with that vein in my left leg. It felt so good getting back to the YMCA on Monday. However, yesterday I noticed the area just below the first clot getting swollen and red. I guess the first spot was not dissolved enough to allow the blood to flow freely.
Sigh. As a result, I skipped Step this morning (my favorite of the classes!), and went back to using the heating pad and ibuprofen.
I read Isaiah 40 and the passage in Romans 8 about faith during trials & suffering, which helps put things into a much better perspective
Tonight she asked for prayer that the vein would allow the blood to flow correctly.
And that she would learn quickly what the Lord is teaching her through this.
