Update on Xavier

Hi,

Glynis and I have been with Skip, Judy and Xavier for several days and he asked me to pass this along as well as this update:

It is Monday, February 25, 2129 hrs. We just left Judy and Glynis at the hospital watching Xavier who is doing FANTASTIC! About an hour ago they took his breathing tube out and he is breathing just fine now on room air with no help. They have done TONS of tests and have found nothing significant to blame this all on but the little guy is a fighter and squirming like a little pig which is a good sign. Are we out of the woods? Not yet. Anybody who has kids knows you're never out of the woods; you just parent on. And pray. Thanks for all the prayers, keep 'em coming. When Skip has a chance (as soon as Xavier is home taking a nap) he will drop ALL of you a line and give you an update himself. Unless it's an emergency, don't call...he already has one of those! (but call anyway if you know it would be important to him.) We will probably be here a week so be patient. When I am asked, I will pass stuff on to you.

Have a great day and hug your kids!

Martin

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37 1-4

"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their Nation."

General George Washington

"You officers amuse yourselves with God knows what buffooneries and never dream in the least of serious service. This is a source of stupidity which would become most dangerous in case of a serious conflict."

Frederick the Great
